Celebrating the purchase of Wivenhoe's second Munty bus in 1998.

Back row: Cllr Cyril Liddy; MP Bernard Jenkin: Cllr Bob Richardson; John Foster; Cllr Peter Hill

Middle Row: Susannah Bradley and Toni Illsley

Front: Cllr Jan Richardson and Stan Thurgood

Article from the Evening Gazette, Friday, 15th May, 1998.

Cllr Bob Richardson at the wheel of the first community minibus, purchased in 1995, after several years of fund-raising by successive Wivenhoe Town Mayors.

The mis-spelling of the word Community by the sign-writers led to the mini-bus being known locally as the 'Munty' bus.
